How GPA Is Calculated
GPA is calculated by converting each course grade into grade points, multiplying by credits, adding those quality points together, and dividing by total counted credits.
GPA = Total quality points / Total credits
Grade scale used
Letter mode uses A+ = 4.3, A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, down to F = 0. P, NP, I, and W are ignored in GPA totals.
Percentage mode uses 90-100 = A, 80-89 = B, 70-79 = C, 60-69 = D, and below 60 = F. Weighted courses add the selected course boost.
